THE 515 REPORT 📰
Fleur Drive bridge set for upgrade
The city is planning improvements to the Fleur Drive bridge near Gray’s Lake, aiming to make it safer and more accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. The redesign would better connect key areas and improve how people move through one of the city’s busiest corridors.

Lola’s continues to expand
Lola’s Fine Foods continues to grow, expanding beyond its well-known hot sauces into salad dressings, seasonings, and a new milder product line under “Winthrop Farms.” Despite national distribution, the company is still showing up at the Downtown and Winter Farmers’ Markets each year.
Local brewery expanding reach through new partnership.
Confluence Brewing is partnering with Jefferson County Ciderworks to expand distribution, helping bring more locally made beverages to new markets. It’s another step forward for one of Des Moines’ most recognizable craft brands.
