Rowhouses planned at former industrial site
A new rowhouse development is planned on a former industrial site in Des Moines, continuing the push to turn underused land into housing. The project would bring a mix of attached homes to an area that hasn’t seen much residential activity before.
Valley West plan up for change
West Des Moines is considering an amendment to the Valley West urban renewal area, with a public hearing now set. The update could shift how future redevelopment around the mall is funded and prioritized.
RecPlex expansion in WDM
An expansion at the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex is in the works, adding more space for youth sports and community programming. Construction timelines are still coming together, but the goal is to keep up with demand and tournament traffic.
